Quote of The Week:
"Christmas is most truly Christmas when we celebrate it by giving the light of love to those who need it most. " ~Ruth Carter Stapleton

Santa Clause is coming to town....SHOP CORSICANA!!!

------>OFFICE CHRISTMAS PARTY FUN!!!!!
A few suggestions to liven up the party!

-Christmas Charades-
Everyone splits off into two teams. Each team take turns acting out a favorite Christmas movie, carol, or a Christmas character. The team that got the most right will win some type of small prize.

-Christmas Trivia-
Make a worksheet of Christmas trivia questions. These
can be questions about Christmas movies, traditions, Christmas history, or anything else related to the Christmas season. Everyone takes a shot at seeing how many they can get right .The one that gets the most wins a prize.

-Christmas Name That Tune-
Play bits of Christmas songs & have everyone guess what they are. Have a prize for the guest with the most right, & maybe a funny prize for the one that got the least.

-Santa Hat Game-
Have everyone wear a Santa hat. Every so often remove your hat. Now everyone else is to remove his/hers as well. The last person wearing theirs is the loser. This could be funny because people will become involved in other activities & conversations & forget to remove their hat.

Need a YUMMY party snack???
Try MICROWAVE
PEANUT BRITTLE!!!

Makes 24 pieces| Hands-On Time: 10m | Total Time: 45m

Ingredients

  • nonstick cooking spray
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 cups roasted salted peanuts
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, cut into pieces
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda

Directions

  1. Spray a large rimmed baking sheet with cooking spray, line with a piece of parchment paper, and spray the paper. Spray a metal spatula as well.
  2. In a large microwave-safe bowl, stir together the sugar, corn syrup, and salt until smooth. Microwave the sugar mixture on high until it is bubbling, 2 to 4 minutes. Mix in the peanuts and butter and microwave on high until the mixture has thickened and is a pale golden color, 3 to 5 minutes more.
  3. Remove the peanut mixture from the microwave and stir in the vanilla and baking soda. (Be careful, as the mixture will bubble up.) Immediately pour the mixture into the prepared pan, spreading it with the prepared spatula. Let stand until hardened, 20 to 30 minutes. Lift the brittle off the parchment and break into 2-inch pieces.
  4. Storage suggestion: Keep the peanut brittle at room temperature, between sheets of wax paper in an airtight container, for up to 5 days! ENJOY!!!
